What To Look For When Purchasing A Dry Hydrotherapy Bed
FRAME: are the frames wood, steel, plastic tubing, or aluminum
CONSTRUCTION OF THE BED: is the tub and panels plastic, lite resin ( like Plastic) or fiberglass. Lite resin and plastic tubs have a tendency to crack and leak after use, H2OMassage tubs are made with highly durable fiberglass panels and tubs.
HP: Most beds use a 2 or 2 1/2 HP in their beds. To give a great massage you need a 5 hp motor.
MOTOR SIZE: 2 - 2 1/2 -3 HP motors work hard, and will eventually burn out. A 5 hp motor does not work hard and will give you years of dependable service.
PSI: Bed Companies who use less than a 5 hp motor in their beds will only deliver 25-30 PSI and give the user a gentle to medium strength massage. To give a gentle to deep penetrating massage you need 40 PSI + only a 5hp will give you that quality of massage.
WATER TEMPERATURE: Some manufacturers have problems controlling the water temperature of their beds, and will advise you to purchase a chiller, that will cost you more money. This is chiller is also an external unit and will take up more space in your massage room. The H2omassage bed does not need a chiller, our coolant equipment is inside the bed, which means no extra external equipment in your room.
WATER: The water inside the bed how it is powered will also add to a great massage. Beds that are powered by water alone do not give a good massage, being very weak in performance. Ensure that the bed that you're going to purchase is powered by both air and water.
HAND REMOTE OR TOUCH SCREEN: mANY of the hand remotes are not digital, for trouble free operation you need a digital hand remote. Many of the touch screens are just glorified desktop computers that are external, bulky and take up floor space at the side of the bed. What you're looking for is a commercial grate touch screen that is contained inside the bed. A digital hand remote or touch screen commercial grate will give PRECISE commands to the bed, so that the performance is flawless.
MANIFOLD INSIDE THE BED: Some companies have 8, 9 or 10 fixed jets in the bed. They claim that they pinpoint various parts of body, that is not necessarrily true. Other companies have a straight bar in the middle of the bed, giving a decent massage to a short person, poor massage for a tall person and does nothing for the neck.
